Check guests in from your own phone
The front desk works on your own phone, in its web browser. You don’t install anything. Your manager sends you the address; open it on your phone and keep it as a bookmark.
Sign in the first time
Section titled “Sign in the first time”- Open the front desk address on your phone.
- Sign in with your work email and password. If your account uses two-step sign-in, enter the six-digit code from your authenticator app.
- Read what is recorded. The screen Stay signed in on this phone? shows your venue’s staff notice: your name and this phone are recorded with each check-in, wristband change and guest search you do. Nothing else on your phone is read.
- Tick I’ve read the staff notice, then Yes, stay signed in.
Your phone now stays signed in for 30 days. You won’t need your password each time you open the desk, though you’ll be asked to sign in again about once a shift.
Find a booking
Section titled “Find a booking”Today’s list opens first, showing everyone who hasn’t arrived yet (Not here yet). Untick it to see everyone booked today.
- Search by surname (three letters or more), email or booking reference.
- A reference finds a booking even if it isn’t on today’s list.
Tap a booking to see its guests, and tap a guest to open their details.
Help a guest
Section titled “Help a guest”On a guest’s screen you can:
- Check their details and save changes.
- See their waiver. It shows Checking… first, then whether it is signed. If it isn’t, ask them to sign it, then tap Check again.
- Link a wristband (below).
- Check them in. If their waiver isn’t signed yet, you’ll be asked whether to check them in anyway.
On the booking screen, Check everyone in checks in the whole party at once.
When you’re done with a booking, tap Next guest. The booking clears from your phone.
Wristbands
Section titled “Wristbands”On Android (Chrome), the phone reads the band itself:
- The first time, tap Link a wristband and allow Chrome to use NFC.
- After that, open a guest without a band and hold the band against the back of the phone. “Ready. Hold the band against the back of the phone.” means it’s listening.
On iPhone, type the number printed on the band and tap Link band. iPhones can’t read bands in a web browser.
If the band already belongs to someone else, you’ll see “This band is already [name]’s. Usually it wasn’t handed back. Move it to [guest]?” Tap Yes, move it to move it in one step.
Take the band off frees a band so it can go to the next guest.
Signing out
Section titled “Signing out”Tap Sign out at the top. You’ll be asked:
- Sign out, keep this phone ready: next time you only need your password.
- Sign out and forget this phone: the phone is no longer trusted. Use this on a phone that isn’t yours or that you’re giving up.
The sign-out panel also shows this phone’s name and a short code. Your manager sees the same code beside your phone on their Devices page.
